WINTER '07

Just a quick one to begin with, took over two days to get here, delayed flights, excess baggage embargos, etc.
But now here on the Caribbean side of Panama, Bocas Del Toro to be exact
There is swell, although am a little jet lagged, will update soon with pics of surf as there is an abundance and its nice and hot!!
We are staying at Hostel Heiki, $8 per night, a vibing place to stay, use of kitchen, communal bathroom/toilet, so a bit grotty, but good to meet people and owners are friendly

Just had two surfs today, 2 hours each.
You have to get boats to the breaks, which is cool and the back drops are unbelievable, tropical islands and untouched beaches.
Surfed a left reef today, Carenerro Point Break, was 3 4 ft and fun.
Then surfed a beach break style reef, Punch Reef, with several peaks, real powerful, super fun and sucking.

A bit cloudy today and some rain.
Had every intention of getting up for an early today, 7 o' clocker, didn't even get drunk last night...but it was raining, so didn´t bother.
I needed the sleep, i have avoided any kind of jet lag, including no real sleep for 3 days.
There is still surf, as there is pretty much every day at this time of the year, which is weird, what with it being in the Caribbean.

Had such a good surf lat night, the second of two, two hour surfs, just before dark.
A long left, Carenerro Point Break, with 3 sections, off the end of a jungle island, super sucky and glassy, about 3 4 ft, real nice rippable waves, best surf I have had for literally years
Today is the same i think, bit of a late start as had a few beers last night.
Ready to go now though.

My blogs are now also getting repetitive, but hey, when all you do is surf, eat, sleep, drink...
Anyway, had a great surf last night, just before dark. the sun came out and it all glassed off, was such a nice evening.
Had a good wholesome night of dancing last night so am loose and ready to throw a few more shapes in the sea.
The weather in uk looks horrific and i´m glad i´m not there, i feel for you guys.
Gotta go, out.

OK, a little regroup and info update.
At the moment we are in Bocas Del Toro, Carabbean side of Panama
Will be travelling up to Costa Rica in the next few days and then maybe Nicaragua.
So far we have scored, good, super fun waves every day, 2 surfs a day.
Today we got a boat out to a beach break on another island, jumped of the boat into paradise, that is the only word to describe it.
I have travelled a bit, but nothing has been as beautiful as this place, honestly.
Just thick, untouched jungle and awesome waves and lots of them.
Anyway, this beachie, it was solid 3-4 ft and glass barrells, incredible.
However, only lasted an hour as it got too high, but then just hung out on the beach, nice.
